Nikon D3000

Google images

I managed to snap a lot of photos with my new DSLR which I got last year, D3000 is good for the beginner like me. I need to learn a lot how to use this gadget and I am still in the learning process, have yet to go for the class with Nikon, soon I will.

Here are a bunch of photos that I like to share and of course my previous blog entry I snapped the photos with my new DSLR (if you notice and know how to differentiate).

I told you, a lot of photos!

First tooth

I haven't had the time to update about my scrapping layout lately, in fact I have done a lot but haven't had the time to blog about it, just because I snapped all the layouts in my other camera and keep on forgetting to downloads the photo to my machine.

Here you go the layout I did last year...first tooth. I choose this photo because I realized her first tooth is coming out (thanks to Nurul Afzan, she noticed the tooth first) and I was lucky that I have this "first tooth" stainless steel tag and decided to use it for the layout and I did not put any other title, just...

The ribbons and lace is a left over which I collected from some wedding door gifts and etc and I cut, distressed the photo and painted with a little silver colour behind the photo. Turn out ok and I love it!

My first name tag

I did my first name tag when I was invited for the "Papier Luau August 2009" at The Curve.

As a member, you have to come dress like a hawaian girl or alike. I don't have any hawaian outfit but I wore the hawaian skirt that was loan to us during the event. It is kind of fun getting to know each other during the party and I enjoyed myself.

I don't know how to make a simple name tag but I came out with the above and I just love it...and the Papier personnel asked whether am I an art teacher? Do I look like one??? I used my cat's hat to make that! not a flat chipboard but a small hat!

Slight fever, blocked nose and hernia...

Hi Everyone

I am so sleepy this morning as I was at Prince Court Medical Centre (PCMC) yesterday night as my baby was not well. We went to the ER (emergency room) at around 8:30 pm and lasted for about 3 hours there at PCMC. We was lucky as her paeditrician Dr Anthony James Mansul was on call yesterday night, we refused to see the normal GP - we waited for Dr Anthony instead. It is always him, whenever my baby is sick and it is him that looks after her everytime we were there in PCMC...no other doctor! Thanks to Dr Anthony...

love to smile...

The only thing we don't want is fever without any flu or coughing...that is bad! Back to the story, after thorough checked by the Doctor, we discovered that the fluctuating/having unpredictable ups and down of fever is mainly because of her blocked nose, everything about the nasal... and socialising in the day care centre. I also highlighted to the doctor about what I discovered from my baby a couple of days ago is actually "hernia". In her case, persistent coughing or sneezing makes that hernia to come out! Poor baby, it is not painful but we will be doing the minor surgery when she is big - now she is still small, doctor said we can wait until she is 3 or so...

What Are Hernias?
A hernia (pronounced: hur-nee-uh) is an opening or weakness in the wall of a muscle, tissue, or membrane that normally holds an organ in place. If the opening or weakness is large enough, a portion of the organ may be able to poke through the hole. Imagine an inner tube poking through a hole in an old tire — that's what a hernia is like.

Hernias happen more frequently in certain parts of the body, like the abdomen, groin and upper thigh area, and belly button area. They also can happen in any place where you may have had an incision from surgery.

Please go to this website to know further about hernia.

We was given by the doctor another type of medicines including the nasal spray and I hope my munchkin will be fully recovered...

she is everything to me...

    Crop Party at Papier

I haven't had the time to update my blog lately...been busy with my princess and other things.

This time the entry is about the Crop Party organized by Papier recently. I was invited for a Crop Party at Papier, The Curve last month on 31 January 2010, and I have a lot of funs meeting new friends/scrappers and as well as enjoying myself. Before that I have a hard time packing my things for the Crop Party, well I have never been to one and this is my first time cropping with a bunch of senior scrappers...

The warming up challenge is 20 minutes and you have to do the name tag for the person sitting on your left and yours truly did for Kak Ame and I won this challenge.

The 1st challenge is to create a layout "scrap the music" the tittle must be from a song lyrics so I did mine "my baby u" turn out ok. You can spot my layout below.

The 2nd challenge, you was given a list of like 15 items and you can only use 6 items from the list, and this one is challenging - however I managed to came out with quite a beautiful layout I should say...title "mia". You can spot my layout below...it is round pattern paper with a lot of layering...

Overall I enjoyed this Crop Party and I won 2 challenges' and thanks to Teacher Jessy and Papier for organising the crop party...enjoy the pictures below taken from Papier blog.

As of today, the dream layout has been altered...and I don't have the latest picture for the layout.
