A Cherry On Top

I am so happy when I received a call from the mail room informing me that I have a parcel to be collected. Here is what I have ordered earlier, just trying on my first order on Martha Stewart punches (buy 2 free 1) and Tim Holtz dies (this time only 2 brands). It is so much cheaper to buy online and I am awaiting for more boxes to come.

Thanks to Nadhrah for recommending me to buy from the above manufacturer. By the way, they also enclosed some tips on "maintaining your paper punches" - cool!

My busy weekend and broken big shot

I had a busy weekend, Saturday and Sunday morning I attended my folk art classes and I missed the Sharon K class at Scrappingville. I managed to paint 2 blank board during weekend and I did 1 layout. I will share with all of you soon.

Saturday afternoon I also attended my tatting class and it was kind of easy to do but require a lot of patient, which make me think twice.

Another thing, my big shot is broken and I need to get a new one. Or do you know where can I go to fix this? Otherwise I will just dump the whole thing into the dustbin. The sad things is that I bought like a dozen of dies recently - Sizzix and Tim Holtz and I also ordered like 16 dies from a local art store. Without big shot all the dies are useless! This one totally spoiled my mood and mojo to scrap more last night.

Raya cards

Finally, I have posted my raya cards a week before Hari Raya to all my slice members. Hopefully it will not damaged when it reaches everyone of you. Here are some pictures that I managed to snap...all total of 7 cards and I make them using my slice machine - 100% using slice machine. In return I received beautiful cards from the rest of the members and thanks all for your absolutely nice Raya cards. Here are mine...

Mommy I scrap too...

This one is my last layout that was done during the Merdeka's holiday, it is the 7th layout. Incomplete mission, I wanted to create 10 layouts - managed to get 7 done. Remember, I did my canvas project in between...that is why I can't reach 10.

It was a picture of my girl playing with my slice and big shot machine. I made my own girl dress banner, embellished them a bit and run them with my Singer sewing machine and hand stitched the bottom part of the layout and I used Maya Road mist.

Hello!

Hi! How are you everyone and how was your weekend? Mine is fulled to the brim...with scrapbook, meeting friends, break fast with the whole clan and spending quality times with the family (a must).

I had so much fun on Saturday, went to the park in the morning with my other half and the little one. After which I joined my scrapbook class, meeting new scrapbookers and of course a little theraphy for me...I bought another slice magnetic mat again with some other things. This time I bought a lot of plain papers and a few patterned papers. The green slice mat will be sold to my ready buyer for only RM120. The below picture are what I grabbed!

I did not scrap at home over the weekend so no update on layout or anything, just working on my canvas and mini album (can you spot my 7Gypsies mini album in the picture above). Oo...by the way I did these over the weekend before I am off to the park. However, it is more like a trial in error and it turns out not bad and I like it (of course these body form below inspired by Donna Downey). The next time I will try to sew in a variety of colored/ fabrics. Isn't these gorgeous, no?

On another note, I am waiting for my acrylic items (album & etc) to arrive, had to order from someone as I couldn't find them in our scrapbook store. The one in scrapbook store are a little bit different from what I want.

Thanks for dropping by and have a great week ahead.

Back to the topic, I saw a few of my fellow scrappers and friends using this camera from Fujifilm and it is a polaroid version with the image print of a credit card size. Wanted to have this camera for so long and finally I managed to get one today - I ordered yesterday and this morning I am a happy customer! this purchased came together with 4 boxes of instax mini (the film credit card size photos). Managed to snapped 2 photos and the results was great (can't compare to Nikon DSLR though). If you want to purchase this camera let me know. Thanks for dropping by.

Singer 7465

Singer Confidence 7465 (google images)

I managed to get this sewing machine for my scrapping purposes and also to sew whatever I want. I wanted to buy the 2nd hand sewing machine but changed my mind after I have tried to sew on this machine...brilliant machine I should say. First I wanted to get Electrolux brand since they have a warehouse sale last week but after many feedback and since Electrolux is not specialized in sewing machine I opted to this normal brand - Singer. I get a lot of freebies and of course free classes - anytime I can come and join them. Since I don't have a proper sewing machine table, my father is kind enough to get the cast iron sewing machine table for me and it will be painted in white, so I can use that as my sewing machine table.

Something like this...

I went to this website for the below info.

faces of you

These are the photos that I cut and collect all this while, all her photos mostly are candid and I decided to just scrap those photos. I used paper tagger to attached my buttons and the love frame. The paper tagger works like magic...and I coloured the title with gold colour and punched the top and bottom layout with Martha Stewart puncher. Here is the outcome...

Sewing machine

I am looking to get a sewing machine to stitch on scrapbook pages. I have heard great things about few "brands" and I am considering purchasing one. However, I would like to see if there are others I should look into. I am looking for something reasonably priced, easy to use, space-efficient, and will handle sewing paper well. Any suggestions?

Cutter Bee Curvy Cutter

Did you notice the so not big circle behind those photos? in my previous entry on Sketch #97 - 1st met.

I used Curvy Cutter by Cutter Bee, this curvy cutter best use with their own glass mat and the curvy cutter cutting tool. It cuts big to small circle, dimension 12" x 12".

Life Story Workshop by Wati Basri

I enjoyed my workshop at Papier Love last Sunday 28 March 2010 by Wati Basri. It was fun and we learned a lot of new techniques from her. Basically we did a mini album with a lot of creativity i.e embossing, stamping, painting and many more. Here is the group photo from the workshop...

picture courtesy from Wati Basri (thanks babe!)

On the other hand I bought myself a lot of pattern papers, embellishments and etc as well as this...

Making Memories Tag Curler Tool

Making Memories Tag Curler Tool

I found this Making Memories tag curler tool in one of the scrapping store in my housing area and I should say it is quite ok. Used it twice and it is awesome, I have to say it curls your ribbon very nicely.

Making Memories has a visual step-by-step so you can see how the tool works.

Share with me what is your magic tool?

Why Slice

I have this slice machine, got it since August last year but haven't had a chance to use it. I don't even know how to use this slice machine. Reading the manual is just not me! I have yet to go for the slice class with Rosa, speaking of this I better contact Rosa immediately and arrange for one slice session with her. According to other scrappers that I know, slice machine is so helpful especially when you are out of embellishments. It save you a lot of money and you will get many designs and patterns out of it.

By the way mine is "Pink Slice" how cool is that?
