Skin Head at 4 Months

Usually for Malays once you have a baby you will held a small reception among your family members and few friends to celebrate the baby's arrival by shaving off his/her hair and few others traditional rituals will be done. This reception normally we called it "aqiqah and naik buai", so since this is my first baby we planned to do this reception on her fourth months together with her other cousins.

The bad Sales Assisstant at Bimba Lola

It was Friday and Estella wanted to go to Mid Valley for a lunch and off we went during our lunch hour to Gardens instead. We had our lunch at Flying Chillies and after finishing our big lunch I wanted to check on shoes and few other things at Bimba Lola and Longchamp.

First we checked on Bimba Lola. FYI, I wasn't greeted by the sales man when we entered the shop, it is not a big deal I don't mind. I have tried a few bangles and it doesn't fit me nicely "tak terletak" I am so small...sigh. Since, today is Izan's birthday so I thought of buying the bangle for her after all it is on 30% discount. Estella and I, asked the sales man about the price for a few of their handbags and purse as there was no price tag and he answered us with an attitude. With no smile he went to the cashier counter, took a calculator and calculate the price and told us the price with no smiling face. I got it...I know, he must be thinking "are you guys buying? or else get lost" it is clear cut that I could feel and I know what he is thinking as if that I can read his mind. Without purchasing anything I decided to go off by saying "thank you" (at least I have a courtesy to say that).

My point is why do you have to show your sour face and behave like a devil when you have a customer?

At first I nak beli, last last I tak jadi nak beli. The sales man really spoilt my shopping mood!

Have you ever experienced this before?

By the way, I have called Bimba Lola Pavilion and their Head Office and OMG, their personnel are so bad in English. Back to school please!!!

The Other Side of Nowhere is a fantastic read and one of the must-read books around. I have purchased this book for over a year now and have been reading this twice. Again and again...

This is not you're typical celebrity biography, full of plastic gossip and self serving fiction to try and win readers sympathy. Danniella Westbrook has managed to pour real emotion, painful heartbreak and brutal honesty onto every page. The result is Danniella manages to take the reader through a journey of the extreme highs of well earned fame & success to the rock-bottom lows of a life destroyed by addiction.

I'm around the same age as Danniella and previously saw her as a great looking girl with fame that let temptation take her down. I now see her as a brave, amazing and complex person who lived a private hell as she tried to hide her addiction and cling onto success. (I still think she's really good looking!)

Danniella saw addiction take away her career, family, friends, wealth, personality and dignity. From the brink of almost total self destruction, she realised addiction would soon take away one last thing. Her life.

She had to fight her addiction right away and she was so ill, she had to win. A close and loving family means everything when you're in this situation. Fame, money, private clubs, red carpet events, free champagne, loads of fans and even the drug scene appeals to so many young people. The Other Side of Nowhere is the inside story into how easily the party scene can become a danger to the addictive personality.

Cord blood banking, why we decided to privately bank.

What in the world is cord blood banking? What are stem cells? And why should I save the blood from my baby's umbilical cord? When I first became pregnant, I dove in head first and tried to learn as much as possible about what it meant to be pregnant and what I should expect. I barely understood what morning sickness would be like, let alone the challenge of making medical decisions that could affect my daughter.

Zara's impending birth inspired me to dig deep and do lots of research, and one of the things I learned is the option to preserve my baby's umbilical cord blood.

We decided to bank Zara's cord blood because we wanted "medical piece of mind" knowing that if she would ever become ill, that we would have potential means to help her. Knowing also that this was a "once in a lifetime" chance to take advantage of this opportunity.

I am sure all mothers out there are happy to see their baby developments every now and then and in this layout I captured my baby first time flipping. My maid realized this and she alerted me as my baby tried very hard to get on her correct position and lastly she did and I quickly snapped her actions.

I love how it turned out and I add some glitters on the title. The paper is just so nice and it matches her clothes colour as well. At the bottom of this layout again I used Martha Stewart puncher to give some nice edges.



She is a bit chubby at this time, because of mommy's food. You heard me...mommy's food. I wish that you will grow healthily and we will shower you with a lot of loves and may you bring all the happiness in our life.

The photos in the above layout was taken while we went for shopping at Pavilion and the one with my baby wearing brown head cover was taken about an hour after c-sect at Prince Court Medical Centre. I just love that moment and it is still fresh in my mind, your cute little lips sucking for milk...

For this layout I punched the paper with Martha Stewart puncher and the result is a nice edge for top and bottom of the layout.

Now that I have more choices of embellishments, difficult for me to decide which one to choose from. Photo was taken while we was at Prince Court for her routine check up/injection. I am glad she was not crying out loud at that time just a bee sting by Dr. Anthony. You are a good girl!

Here is a layout of myself with YAM Tengku Izan. This photo was taken in 2009 and we was at Chawan, Bangsar for lunch. The second photo was taken during YAM Tengku Izan's farewell lunch with the team in IOI Mall. I used a lot of Prima flowers, some netting at the bottom of each photos and the paper is just so nice for this layout. I did this layout for less than 30 minutes or to be exact like 45 minutes - I think. YAM Tengku Izan, if you were to read this entry - you know you owed me something!!!

Alhamdulillah...I am blessed with you, you are our sunshine. The below layout is a photo of my baby when she was still in my tummy. At that time, I can wait to see you and I will make sure every day I talk to you, let you listen to music, al-quran, songs and even chit chatting with you. My mother passed away on 31 December 2008, not long after that on March 2009 her younger brother named Remy followed her.

I still remember, we used to go to his house for dinner or lunch. All of us, his nephews and nieces love to visits him just because he is so good in his cooking. We will go over his house and help him in his big kitchen.

The above photo was taken in January 2009, when he came to my house to see the baby for the second time (the first time was at Prince Court - one hour after I am out of the operation theatre, the whole clan was already in my suite). That day we had a "kenduri" for our late mother at Bukit Jelutong and he was there to see the baby again.

You will be forever remembered by the whole family. "Al-fatihah"

Mount Batur Volcano is situated on the Island of Bali, one hour's drive from Ubud. Mount Batur, considered sacred by the Balinese, is a fairly easy journey to one of the world's most active volcanoes leading to a strange pristine wilderness.

At the top of any of the three craters, Batur is a frightening testimony to the power of nature. The long sharp arcs of blown-out rock attest to violent volcanic eruptions, some as recent as 1994.

Why Slice

I have this slice machine, got it since August last year but haven't had a chance to use it. I don't even know how to use this slice machine. Reading the manual is just not me! I have yet to go for the slice class with Rosa, speaking of this I better contact Rosa immediately and arrange for one slice session with her. According to other scrappers that I know, slice machine is so helpful especially when you are out of embellishments. It save you a lot of money and you will get many designs and patterns out of it.

By the way mine is "Pink Slice" how cool is that?

Happy New Year to all my friends and family, may all of you be blessed through out the year.
2009 has brought too many great memories and not to forget some sad events. Everything happens for a reasons and I am thankful to Allah as I am blessed with so many good things last year.

Princess Mia

Early last year I am officially a mother to our little princess and she will be one this coming 12 January.

I also found a new hobby - scrapping! Thanks to all my friends for their advise and I am so fortunate that I can share this hobby with the rest of you out there.

Anyway, I hope may this year will bring joy, happiness, love, good health, wealth and everything good to all of us. Amin.
