The altered black vintage record album layout

Remember on this entry? It was a colourful layout from the vintage record album cover and here presenting a layout from the vintage black record album....

I used a candid photo of my girl under the sunshine, hence there is some lightning on her head in this photo.

coloured those notes, just to relate this layout to the vintage black record album. (after all she is the music in my heart)

those three words are from my Studio Calico Kit and I glued them on a chipboard, chipboard glued on a muslin cloth and raised using chipboard again to create dimension.

"always my sunshine"

trying to keep it simple as I can by not putting so many embellishments, however I can't help myself. This is my very first time using black vintage record album and I hope I can create more in the future. Thank you for looking and Happy Holiday!

the blue ball

I still owe my reader the black vintage record update. I am done with the layout just minor adjustment needed. I will blog about it once I am completely done.

Meanwhile, while still busy creating my acrylic album and the black vintage record I managed to do this 12 x 12 layout last Sunday. It is kind of simple but stitching is required, after seeing Sasha's layout with a lot of stitching sometimes, I decided to try on my layout. I misted a little here and there just to give some sparkle and added buttons everywhere. Here is mine...

Thanks for dropping by and have a good day.

My altered vintage album layout

This project has been pending in my mind for so long as I am busy with ATCs and my unfinished acrylic album. The idea of this altered art was from the Glitz Design and straight away I am off for my antique shopping. On top of that I even found few other things from my mother's house and some of her old possession are just too meaningful to throw away and instead I will be turning some of them into an altered arts. Thanks so much to Erin, Ginger and Laura for sharing your post and it is totally inspiring. I will definitely share with all of you once I am done.

On Wednesday I finally managed to pull this through and this is the outcome...
Just mixed everything and I should say it is purely or almost 100% Studio Calico. I used my Studio Calico kits' (I have too many of their kits'), and may be one or two of the embellishments are from my stash. Love how it looks like, colourful and bright! yes that is soo me...I will be creating more of altered vintage record album layout like this as I have few more to use, be it small, medium or large. Enjoy looking...

all vintage record album has a side pocket, so you can keep all your "memorabilia"

I have few more projects in mind but time is so limited, I need more time. Do you want to know what happen to the black record of this altered vintage album? Watch this space next week as I will be sharing with you real soon! Merry Christmas and thanks for looking!

Crafty Sunday

I spent my Sunday afternoon creating an ATCs for my next swap....here some pictures of the sets that I have done. Lace and Thai silk for the edges, I love sewing, hence my ATCs. I would love to play with acrylic paints and medium but my girl will be painting not me so...that is another story. I will paint when she is sleeping if not we have two artists busy working at home.

busy working....

work in progress

So far managed to do 10 ATCs and more to come.

Crop Market and ATCs swap

I haven't been blogging and creating a layout lately. Plus my girl and my other half just recovered from their sickness and we also had so much fun from an awesome holiday with the family and all I could think of is my little crafty area, my work in progress "mini album", ATCs and tons of picture that I want to scrap. I don't know when I could finish my mini album that only 4 pages done...the rest is still on hold.

I had fun Saturday last week meeting up with crafters and friends. We have Crop Market at Papier and at the same time we do an ATCs swap. I swapped my ATCs with Amelia, Liza, Rosa and Sareena. I love all the ATCs and I even managed to find some other crafters' for my next swap.

All the below ATCs created by me have find their new home and if you are interested to swap your ATCs with me, please let me know.

I haven't had the chance to photograph the ATCs that I've got from them, will share soon in my next entry.

Not to forget thanks to Amelia, Sharm, Rosa and Teacher Jessy for an awesome tutorial and gorgeous work last week. Have a good weekend and thanks for dropping by.

Sweet Child of Mine aka My Sweet Child

My Sweet Child
I had a great weekend and everything are just well planned, I managed to get this layout done last night with the help of my girl. She helped me by putting all those buttons for the flowers and I said "Thank you honey", she replied back "Ta you Mommy" oh wow...how nice isn't it? She is now able to speak in full sentence bit by bit like "Daddy where are you?" "Mommy eat" and a few other words, she is progressing well. How time flies...

Well on to this layout, it was a picture of...who else? my girl and here she is playing with the plates, saucer, spoon as an act that she is cooking. Love those little hands and face...

I put the tittle on top of each other...so that my layout is not too crowded with words since it is already crowded with flowers and the patterned paper.

I love the gate and flowers that I punched on the green Dear Lizzy paper

I love the white space and decided to put a few butterflies, Artisan Elements - Circle used as photo corner.

I used a patterned paper from Me & My Big Ideas Specialty Cardstock Cartonne Special and cut them into half according to the patterned (and I put foam dots) and pasted them on the cream base cardstock, and the other side of the patterned paper I used to punched my butterflies and I also used as a background of the picture above (the purple dots). The papers stack are totally awesome and got it few months back and I realized I haven't even used it. I punched the gate using Martha Stewart puncher as well as the flowers on the green Dear Lizzy patterned paper and I put foam dots so that I have a 3D like view and also to create dimensions. All the Prima flowers are pasted using foam dots so that it is not totally flat.

Material used: Me & My Big Ideas Specialty Cardstock Cartonne Special, Prima flowers, buttons, MS punchers, AC thickers, MM aplhabet stickers, plain cream cardstock and Artisan Elements - Circle.
