you are my favorite

I like it spell as "favourite" well whatever, as long as you guys understand what I am writing.  Thank you for all the lovely comments on my previous post and I missed blogging yesterday. I completely forget to schedule my post, furthermore I have plenty of layouts photos that needs to be edited before I share them in this space.

My last Studio Calico kit that I ordered from Jamie is well used and I am so happy, it took me less than 1 week to whipped all the papers and that will be part of my wish for this year, to use up my old stash and kits.  Back to the title and again another straight forward page that took me less than 20 minutes to get it done.  Another old layout which is done in the middle of December last year. Everything you see on this page are from my very old scrapbook kit from Echo Park, their old collection which I forget what is the name and it is kind of bright and cheery.

can't help it, I just need to add a bit of machine stitching on this page

very bright stickers and papers from Echo Park, the lace at the bottom is from my swap buddy.

That's all for now and I will not be posting any blog on Saturday and Sunday you will have to check again on next Monday as I have LO to be shared.  Have a great weekend as I know I will and happy crafting.  xo

UKELELE

Looks like most of you agreed with me that scrapping simple is the way to go...;)

Another layout to be shared today, all of you know that I have a girl and another thing is that she loves beating the drum, she has a real mini drum set and about 4 months ago, daddy got her a "ukelele" which she loves to play once in a while.  I captured her playing the ukelele in this page, eventho she don't know how. Well, we had fun watching her actions.

A very straight forward layout and I am happy with the outcome, on another note I am busy creating more page using BoBunny Snowfall collections and they are just so awesome and beautiful papers.

Thanks for all the lovely comments and I have more LOs to share soon. Happy crafting. xoxo.

Marina "N" I

Happy New Year! everyone and I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year's celebration. Mine was just spending my quality time with the family.  I have abandoned this space of mine for the past 2 weeks as I am just too lazy to blog when I am at home doing nothing. I rather play with my girl and create an art or ATCs.  Speaking of ATCs, our ATCs swap buddies have expanded and I am so glad that all the new members are enjoying this creative therapy.

I have gone through my stash couple of weeks ago and decided to clear them by doing all my LOs in a very simple and clean manner. I will do the mix media or something artsy when I have the time as mix media layout took a lot of my time - apparently. By scrapping easy I know I will use my supplies fast...

For the last couple of weeks I have been creating a lot of LOs and ATCs. Here is one of the layout I did last year, a photo of me and my swap buddy, my craft friend and we are DTs over at Scrappingville last year.  I know and in fact everyone has the same opinion that this crafty world really brings us a lot of friends along the way from so many continents and countries. I am also trying to dig a few other photos of myself with my other crafty friends and I would love to scrap them.

 Marina "N" I

Another simple page and no fussy techniques used, just cut and paste and I hope my friend - Marina is smiling looking at this LO.  "Woi! women ok tak?"

On another note, I have done my thing for the swap that will be this coming 2nd week of January be it ATCs or the gift swaps.  A shout out to my swap buddies, you know who you are????  I have created a lots of ATCs recently and for the gift swap it will be a white and nice bird cage with yummy goodies inside the cage! Don't we love surprise???

That is all for now and watch this space for more entries and happy crafting. xo

Liza & I

Among all the photos that I edited and developed, there are quite a number of the photos taken during my scrapbook class and related. Here is one of it, sharing with you my photo with one of Papier's Designer named Liza

a simple page again, did some sewing at the edges, I hand sewed the pink seam binding so that I get that pink ruffles, I purposely scattered the buttons all over the page like what I did before for my "Safe in my Arms" layout.

Many of you do not know that this lady loves cooking, baking, good in teaching, great scrapbooker, good in sewing, she owns quite a number of sewing machines - Elna, Jenome, Apple, Singer and coming is Bernina.  She is one of my ATC swap buddy, she share ideas a lot, she is honest, funny and if I go on and on this entry will be long. Through this hobby I met a lot of creative souls and thank you Kak Liza and all for the friendship.  Everyone has their own place in my heart and all of you are special in your very own way.

Keep watching this space as I have more layouts and posting scheduled to be shared and thanks for dropping by. xoxo

easy

Happy Wednesday everyone, I hope you had a great weekdays so far. I am in the mood of sewing and has been sewing for the past few days.  Another layout again and everything I used here are from my old scrapbook kit.

I kind of like the background paper as hardly use green to scrap and I also used bit and pieces of Basic Grey papers. I enjoyed creating simple layout nowadays and it keeps me going and without even have to think hard on how much paint or what medium to add and so on.  Feels so good to have used my old collection of scrapbook kit.

Thank you for dropping by and happy crafting. Toodles!

Safe in my arms

I was digging all my scrapbook kits and I am glad that I managed to get some scrappbook done, not all but some of the papers are being used...sounds good enough for me. I also developed quite a number of photos recently and there are more reason to scrap.  Here sharing with you a layout I did using Nantucket collection from Pink Paislee.

A very soft colour page with a very minimal embellishments and I kind of like this simple page. It took me less then 20 minutes to have this page done. That's all for today and thank you for stopping by and happy crafting.  xoxo

Another new page I did over the weekend and I love this craft paper...just suitable with any patterned papers and colours.

isn't this craft paper nice...

as usual my girl wanna be seen in this pic, at least part of her...

Try doing your layout on a craft paper if you haven't done so, the colour are just superb. Thanks for all the comments over in my previous post and I hope to see you again in my next post as I have quite a number of layouts to share.   Happy crafting and have a great week ahead.  xoxo

our trip

Another page I did on weekdays and this is so simple and I have now been using my many Martha Stewart punchers that I have in my collection. For a layout like this, using punchers and minimal embellishments are just enough. I will post more...thanks for dropping by.

Turns 2

*picture of my girl early this year, insisting on blowing the candle again after taking her bath.

Happy Saturday! everyone and I have been missing again as I am totally caught-up with so many things to do. My mojo for a layout is so low and I have not been scrapping last week but this week the mojo is back but with minimal creative juice. I realized that scrapping this style brings me loads of idea as it is very straight forward and I have done 8 layouts so far and I am happy with it.

I hope you guys have a great and creative weekend as I know I will be busy creating and sewing.  Thanks for dropping by and see you in my next post.

More more ATCs

Hello! All, been missing for many weeks as I have been busy spending time with families and relaxing without doing any scrapping except making ATCs. I am just happy as my mojo for ATCs are just pouring like water immediately after I came back from Liza's class on altered box for ATCs over at Papier last month.

I am happy that my swap group for ATCs has been growing not big but just ok and enough for us to gather once in a while catching up over lunch, chatting while swapping ATCs. It is so fun, as we do not see each other every week but at least once in a month. To all my swap buddies, you know who you are and your ATCs never fails to put a big smile to my face every time I look at them.  I learned a lot of techniques along the way and every single ATCs is unique in its own way and it is always a "limited edition" one of a kind...hence grab fast!

On top of that, I have not scrapped a layouts regularly nowadays as my mojo for 12 x 12 are just gone for an early Christmas I guess. Managed to do about 2 layouts with a very minimal mojo in my head!  but that have to wait until I have the time to share.  Here I am sharing with you some of my ATCs so far...

It has a few groups...the divas group, the punchanella group, the birdies group, the secret/vintage diaries group, the body forms group, the seam bindings group, the colored metal group and the misc. group.  I love all of the ATCs...

the dress form
*these one are very easy to do just a stamping and I sew a little piece of tulle to form a black netting dress added some white beads and I sew the edges of the ATCs with sewing machine using pieces of left over materials.  Only one of the ATCs are different without a dress but a vintage button pasted on it.

the punchinella
*these I used texture paste and punchinella as a stencil and I coloured the ATCs using Inka Gold, Donna Downey and some rub and buff colours.

the seam binding
*I did these yesterday night while watching "Jack and the Neverland Pirate" with my girl, basically just a pieces of scrap papers, buttons, laces, flowers and seam bindings...look like a tag but a small version tags.

the divas
*those vintage photo I got it from the "darkroom door" and I cutted them nicely using my vintage photo cutter and added some laces, colours, old book papers, Inka Gold colours and I sew them using my sewing machine and you can see my black zig zag thread and I added title on every Diva...example Miss World, Miss Vain, Miss Sissy, Miss Photogenic and so on...

the coloured foils
*these are after Liza's inspiration and those are embossed using Ten Seconds Studio's dies. Easy peasy....

the misc
*these are a mixture of everything and very easy to do but look great in real life as most of it has textures...

the birdie
*these birds are done using a flower petals and the bird is from the new Sizzix dies and some stamping on the backgground and added some Donna Downey colours to the feathers.

*the secret/vintage diaries and copper foil
*I had so much fun doing these ATCs as it is totally vintage and I basically used the copper foil and hammered all the alphabets one by one to form a word or sentiments. As for the bird feathers, I used Melissa Frances flakes and it is kind of white/transparent in colour...so you can't really see the feathers.

Ok thats all for now, got to go and the weekend is almost here and thanks for all your comments on my previous post, happy crafting and see you in my next post.  Toodles!
