our girl

Hello! Everyone, Happy Thursday and I hope today will be brighter day for all of you and my apology for being so late on sharing this layout as I am busy with other things.

Here sharing with you a layout I did last week on Sunday and the paper is from Prima and some from my stash. I am trying to used my "ribbon guni"/"burlap ribbon" in this layout and a little bit of the seam binding (the red ribbon bow) and some other laces that I have.

some of my handmade blooms from Cuttlebug dies and laces

I swirled the alphabets/tittle with a vintage wire, laces from my swap buddy & from my stash, a little bit of patterned ric rac

I have to include my DD since she was there while I took the photos and she said "Mommy, Mommy Zara"

again, that is my girl!

and her little fingers holding and hiding behind the layout

I have a few more Prima papers waiting to be scrapped and I think I will (I think) and on another note I am so happy that my scrapbook kit for this month which I have received the last couple of weeks is filled with loads of Echo Park latest papers from CHA, Jenni Bowlin dabber, SEAM BINDING and few other goodies. Heaven...like Sharon said "treat your papers like GOLD" oh yes I will.  I also received some parcels full with May Arts ribbons (17 spools altogether) and 16 rolls of varieties colours of SEAM BINDING!!!  My other half said "so tonight you will be sleeping on those spools of ribbons?" grrr....

I am also collecting my scrapbook kit from Scrappingville tomorrow and yesterday night I managed to finished one layout and I will share with you guys soon and thanks for all the lovely comments on my previous post, thank you for taking the time to write and stop by.

If you love to read books like me I suggest you go and get "a stolen life" by Jaycee Dugard and "Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother" by Amy Chua.  That Tiger Mother was recommended to me by Sharon and I am glued, "a stolen life" I found about this book from the papers and I am always on the look out for new books especially true stories.

Lastly "Selamat Hari Raya" to all my Muslim friends and families.

just engaged

I keep on forgetting to share this layout that I did 2 months ago...here is the simple layout for them as requested by the girl.

the tag on the left is empty so that they can write their journal later on

I misted the background but you can't really see in this image

same goes to the bottom page, I misted but you can't spot them either in this image

That is all for now a super simple page and I have one more layout to share which I did last Saturday, so keep coming back.  Have a lovely week ahead.

love

Hi! Everyone and how was your day?
I have been wanting to post this since yesterday but have to hold it until I get the green light. I did a layout from Prima paper - Madeline Collection, this layout is inspired by Sharon Laakkonen - one of the Prima's DT. She just had a blog of her own and please go and check out her fabulous work. I had no idea on how to create a layout using this paper and I checked on Prima's blog and I found her beautiful layout using the same paper and I kind of scrap-lifted her page.  Thank you Sharon and here is my layout...

I used the Sizzix flower die and cut my canvas piece and misted with TA mist, can you see the blue, pink and brown flowers (the odd look flowers look like a stars)

can you spot my cabochons in a varieties of colours? In this layout, my flowers are mostly from Prima, Petaloo flowers and leaves and the canvas piece flowers.  Thanks to my ATCs swap buddy in US for that "love" shape laser chippie.

I stamped the background of this paper with the images of bubbles wrap

Loves these orange and lavender jute strings, that blue flower misted and coloured with "Inka gold" in blue.

some close-up, the red "loves" are from a red foil and cut using Sizzix die. I even coloured my title with "Inka gold" in pink.

By the way, this is for Bird is the Word Challenge and their current word is "love". I always have problem putting title to my page hence this challenge is so good to participate.  That's all for now, see you in my next entry and thank you for looking.

dream

Aloha! to all my blog readers and visitors.  It has been ages I did not share any update in this space, last Sunday I managed to create one page for Bird is the Word challenge.  My mojo was so low for the past few weeks -  however, I managed to do one simple page with minimal techniques.

I used my "airmail" twine so that it will matched with the edges of that brown air mail envelope.

lovely bold red and white twine from May Arts. You should get this as it is different from the normal divine twine.

loving those Butterfly Kisses alphabets die

I was at Scrappingville over the weekend and we did some "jamming" - what a fun session. Over at Scrappingville, they have those papers that I used for the above layout, it is Basic Grey papers. I've got that paper last month but I only opened it and explore clearly after I am done at Scrappingville on Saturday. When Sharon showed us those Basic Grey papers and stuff, I was thinking - I think I have those. I used 3 pieces of Basic Grey papers for the above layout.  On your right is a piece of different paper which I attached with a glue and sewed it to the main paper overlapping with my seam binding.  On your left side (refer to the first photo) where you can see the word "LAW" and a big flower scribble on the papers with black background is another Basic Grey paper which I attached again using glue.  If you want those pretty papers go and get them.

Thank you for looking and thanks a bunch for all the lovely comments over at my previous post.

BLISS

Happy Wednesday everyone! Another layout done last week, this is for the challenge over at Scrappin Studio. I really wanted to join all the scrapbook challenge that they have in all the blog land that I went into but it is just that I don't have the time.  So here is a layout I did for my submission over at Scrappin Studio.  You guys can visit their space and get those yummy Studio Calico kits and all other stuff as well. Talking about Studio Calico, I have like 3 kits un-opened and screaming to be scrapped!

Paper used by Prima, Madeline Collection which I bought from the local scrapbbok store. Here you go...

Thanks for dropping by and thank you for all the lovely comments and I will be visiting you soon.  Cheers.

TODAY

Hello! everyone and how are you?  Today is our second day of fasting in the month of Ramadhan and I am adjusting very well, alhamdullillah ameen.

I managed to create a layout over a week ago for Bird is the Word challenge blog and I played with paint and paint, hands was all dirty by the time this layout was done. I even managed to do my own blooms and you can see those blooms are scattered everywhere on the page.  Kind of like those red sparkling colours.   Here you go my take for the word "today".

See you in my next entry as I have something to share and thanks for dropping by. Cheers.
