Slight fever, blocked nose and hernia...

Hi Everyone

I am so sleepy this morning as I was at Prince Court Medical Centre (PCMC) yesterday night as my baby was not well. We went to the ER (emergency room) at around 8:30 pm and lasted for about 3 hours there at PCMC. We was lucky as her paeditrician Dr Anthony James Mansul was on call yesterday night, we refused to see the normal GP - we waited for Dr Anthony instead. It is always him, whenever my baby is sick and it is him that looks after her everytime we were there in PCMC...no other doctor! Thanks to Dr Anthony...

love to smile...

The only thing we don't want is fever without any flu or coughing...that is bad! Back to the story, after thorough checked by the Doctor, we discovered that the fluctuating/having unpredictable ups and down of fever is mainly because of her blocked nose, everything about the nasal... and socialising in the day care centre. I also highlighted to the doctor about what I discovered from my baby a couple of days ago is actually "hernia". In her case, persistent coughing or sneezing makes that hernia to come out! Poor baby, it is not painful but we will be doing the minor surgery when she is big - now she is still small, doctor said we can wait until she is 3 or so...

What Are Hernias?
A hernia (pronounced: hur-nee-uh) is an opening or weakness in the wall of a muscle, tissue, or membrane that normally holds an organ in place. If the opening or weakness is large enough, a portion of the organ may be able to poke through the hole. Imagine an inner tube poking through a hole in an old tire — that's what a hernia is like.

Hernias happen more frequently in certain parts of the body, like the abdomen, groin and upper thigh area, and belly button area. They also can happen in any place where you may have had an incision from surgery.

Please go to this website to know further about hernia.

We was given by the doctor another type of medicines including the nasal spray and I hope my munchkin will be fully recovered...

she is everything to me...

my baby you...
