Design Dollies Sketch Challenge

Design Dollies always have an awesome sketch for us to try and here is another sketch challenge for me to try on:

and my interpretation:

This time there is a mixture of patterned paper and fabrics, you can see I am using fabric in this layout. I only use one small piece - the red colour with small white boxes and blue flowers.
Thanks for dropping by and happy scrapping!

The Scrappiest : Bonus Sketch for Transparent Touches

This month Liz Chidester provided a sketch for the DT at Transparent Touches. Hop on to their blog to see all the amazing layouts done by the rest of the ladies. Here is the sketch:

and my layout...

Again, I used fabrics for this layout - white and black lace/nett like fabrics, nett ribbon and brownish/red fabric.

Thanks for dropping by, have a good week ahead!

The Scrappiest : Sketch 74

This one I did for The Scrappiest, hop on to their blog for more details. Here is the Sketch 74:

and my interpretation:

I used my dimensional fabric paint for this word, first I stitched the alphabets and then I painted on the thread with blue fabric paint. FYI: I used my "In Stitch'z by Bazzill" for that word.

Instead of writing a journal, I used my big shot to create this embossed print look

Creative Scrappers : Sketch #113

Another layout I did based on Creative Scrappers, Sketch #113. Here is the sketch:-
and my interpretation this time is very plain, I am now dry on "mojo". I used the cork at home as my buttons, I saw this idea of using cork somewhere in the internet but I can't remember where. Here is my layout:-

July Sketch Challenge by My Little Sketch Blook

I never failed to peep at Liz's blog whenever I can, she always has something new and her take on each layout she did are just awesome. I really love her style, full of colours and full with details, the things is that she always has something new to share with us.

Lately, I have been scrapping the same photo again and again. The different is, either I developed the photo in black and white or colour. For something unique, this time I used a vintage fabric instead of a patterned paper for the background behind the photo, as usual handmade felt flowers, fabrics liquid pen in gold and etc. Below is the July Sketch Challenge from "My Little Sketch Blook".
and my layout:-

Thank you for dropping by and happy scrapping.

{Create} and Make It Happen!

Over at {Create} and Make It Happen, they are having a stitching challenge for this month July.
I always wanted to do a layout using a zip and I did, I sewed the zip with my sewing machine and the outcome not bad, I created a banner with a little embellishments like baby pins', ruffles and steel tag "first day". The banner was done by using a white beaded chain and the ruffles I swirled around it. I hand stitched the love shape on top of this layout and the rest lets the pictures tells you.

Thanks for dropping by and enjoy your week ahead.

Cotton Fabrics

I love cotton fabrics and been getting a lot lately...below are those fabrics that I mentioned in my previous entry , these fabrics are 100% cotton. I would also like to thanks Amelia as she has shared with us on her entry about crochet flowers. I found out from her blog that her friend is selling the crochet flowers, I have been meaning to do this crochet flowers for many many months but I am so lazy to knit and I almost bought a whole lot of crochet threads recently.

Last month our family did some spring clean over at our late mother's house and I found a lot of vintage things. Like old knitted table cloth, old photos (I have re-developed some) and the original are in my safe keeping, I purchased 4R acid free album, some old fabrics and many many more things! I collected all and I am so happy with my findings.

Now I am looking for someone that can teach me how to tat! My late mother learn how to tat in her early teens and poor thing I didn't get to learn from her. You know when someone is sick they tends to forget a lot of things...

Enjoy the picture of my fabrics, taken using my iPhone - hence the photo quality is not that good. In reality the colour are so bright and vibrant.
