Raya cards

Finally, I have posted my raya cards a week before Hari Raya to all my slice members. Hopefully it will not damaged when it reaches everyone of you. Here are some pictures that I managed to snap...all total of 7 cards and I make them using my slice machine - 100% using slice machine. In return I received beautiful cards from the rest of the members and thanks all for your absolutely nice Raya cards. Here are mine...

most of the cards has the same wordings...the alphabets and everything that you see here was cut using my slice machine

Finally...this is my 3rd canvas project

I have no mojo at all to scrap and I have been neglecting my scrapping table for more than a week now. However, I would like to revealed my sneak peek on my 3rd canvas project, finally I finished this before the Hari Raya but was busy and keep on forgetting to update.

I used a lot of little-little designer fabrics and sewed them on this canvas piece and embellished freely and not forgetting I put some nice words be it printed or stamped. I also have an acid free newspaper and I cut the meaning of word laughter from the newspaper and pasted on, a lot of sewing as you can see. Each time I sewed the little-little fabrics I sewed them using different patterns, cut the fabrics using my zig zag scissor, I even used the Adirondack ink and coloured the background of this canvas (you can't really see through the pictures above) but it is nice and its give a bit of shimmering look. I would love to make something like this more in the future, I was so inspired by Donna Downey canvas project. Do share with me your latest canvas project, enjoy your week ahead and thanks for dropping by!

Your courtesy is very much appreciated!

All my entries and creations in my blog are purely mine and some are scraplift from other scrappers and credit mention is given. Hence, if you were to copy any of my work I would appreciate a courtesy from you, you know what I mean. Lets be good ok!

Sneak peek of my new canvas project

Will be revealed soon...

Mommy I scrap too...

This one is my last layout that was done during the Merdeka's holiday, it is the 7th layout. Incomplete mission, I wanted to create 10 layouts - managed to get 7 done. Remember, I did my canvas project in between...that is why I can't reach 10.

It was a picture of my girl playing with my slice and big shot machine. I made my own girl dress banner, embellished them a bit and run them with my Singer sewing machine and hand stitched the bottom part of the layout and I used Maya Road mist.

Happy

A happy layout of us, my daughter and myself.

I love this American Crafts paper, Botanique and I think I will get this paper again. I just can't get enough of their papers. Quite a simple and clean layout I should say, I added a banner at the bottom by cutting the roses one by one and sewed them straight. I put a tiara on top as we are "princess" to our man at home.

Joy

This one is a simple layout and I add a butterflies banner on top. I run the patterned paper with my sewing machine (you can see from the 2nd photo). I love the paper too it is from Echo Park Paper, a walk in the park.

Apparently there are no flowers at all in this layout, not the usual me. I normally will put flowers on my layout, pretty clean this time...

So clear

This was one of the photo taken at the park, however it is so blur but I love this photo. I decided to scrap this photo and scraplift the title from Cory Richardson, Lauve, Richmond Virginia.

It is so clear to me that I am never alone...

I used a lot of stamps here and I run the patterned paper with my big shot to get that embossed look.

Look

On the 21 August 2010 last month, we brought Zara to the park to see birds'. She loves seeing birds' lately, especially if she is out in the morning and evening. We make one big round at the park and I managed to snap a lot of photos. Here are one of them that I love...bonding time...

I stitched all the four corners using my machine, the flowers are handmade and I just love this Scenic Route paper...just perfect for this layout.

She Smiles

This is the 2nd layout and because of my mojo not that good, I used the scrapbooketc book that I have and refer to their sketches. However I did not follow any of their sketches instead I scraplift the tittle. This tittle is from Gigi Kennedy, May/June 2009, page 56, No. 173.

I used my EK success round puncher and punched the patterned papers and make is as my banner. My Martha Stewart puncher for all the butterflies, my big shot for the embossed look of my patterned papers (behind the photos). I used orange colour mist this time to hide the totally white background.

Stinkin' cute

This is my 1st layout among the 7th, I did this layout halfway the week before last week. Finished it up over the weekend, I put a lot of butterflies on the left side, stamped a couple of small cats (if you can spot them) at the right position, I used my Martha Stewart punchers to punch the patterned papers, instead of using a glue I used my Tim Holtz tiny attacher and attached the ribbon and handmade flower using pattern papers at the bottom.

2nd canvas project

This canvas project was done after I did my 7 layouts of 12 x 12. My mission over last weekend is to create 10 layouts of 12 x 12. However, I managed to do 7 layouts and 3 canvas project (the 3rd one is still in progress). Here is my 2nd canvas project, inspired by Donna Downey...

First, I have stitched the word "Happiness" nicely with black thread but the two ss can't be seen when I sealed the round wood thing. Hence, I cut the word "Happiness" and pasted the above word. I wanted to put the word "Reminiscence" but I accidentally put "Reminisce". This is my first time using this round wood thing, perhaps the next one will turn to be much better. Can you see my handmade flowers (inspired by Sharon) thanks Sharon! I even used the left over green ribbons gave by Sharon and the leaves was made by my Singer sewing machine! I did the leaves and the grass, I don't have dark green thread so I used the lighter green thread - looks odd tho but whatever it is...I love the picture!

1st canvas project

Remember on my previous entry "Little sneak peek". I have been wanting to do this since the very beginning of my scrapping...hence I explore through the internet and here are my first ATC using canvas. I have been putting this project on hold for so many weeks, finally last week I finished it up and pasted whatever I can think off. At first I don't want to put any photo on the ATC but at last I gave in and pasted Zara's picture here and there but not to all the ATC.

Just for your information if you don't know what is/are ATC? ATC refers to Artists Trading Cards, at one time, they were miniature paintings or photos of paintings that were given to people to show the type of work done by an artist and they are quite collectible. Today, in the scrapbooking venue, they are varieties of ATC in different sizes and show different scrapbooking techniques. Mine are just so simple!

first: it was like these...
ta da... vibrant and colourful

On my next entry, another canvas project again...

Update

Hi! Everyone

I enjoyed my long weekend and created 7 layouts (12 x 12), finished my canvas ATC, I did another canvas project and I am creating another canvas ATC again...which is half way done. I will blog about the 7 layouts & my ATC in a short while. Stay tuned for the latest update!
