Scraplift

Have you ever scraplift someone work before?

If you are a scrapbooker and you have probably heard the term "scraplifting" before don't you? Just in case you don't know, scraplifting is borrowing or "lifting" an idea from another scrapbooker. It is considered a compliment and usually most scrapbookers are honored to be lifted. It is good scrapping etiquette to acknowledge the lift by giving credit to the artist and layout being lifted. You must do this!

" If you don’t remember who you copied from, but know that it was copied, be sure to mention “This is a scraplift, but I don’t remember who did the original. If anyone knows, I’d love to give credit.” Many times the original artist will pipe up and be thrilled that you decided to use her ideas. Then you can give proper credit." (article from Scrapjazz.com)

There are several online scrapbooking sites host scraplifting challenges or you can do it on your own. Just look through an online gallery or a scrapbooking magazine and pick a layout that inspires you.

I would like to share with you a few articles about "scraplifting etiquette". You can go here and here to know more.

Have a good weekend.
